George M. Carroll, 80, Eldon, died Dec 1, 1998, at Eldon Health Care.
He was born Dec. 17, 1917, in Morgan County, a son of William and Alice Conner Carroll. He was married to Josephine Stickney. He was a retired brakeman for Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of Bibleway Church
of Eldon.
Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Morris, Eldon; one son, Ronald Carroll, Bloomington, Calif.; two brothers, James Carroll, Eldon and John Carroll, Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Griswold-Kay Funeral Home, Eldon. Pastor Jack Dilday will officiate. Burial will be in Big Rock Cemetery, Barnett. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.
