Sister Alice Krupp, age 95, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Holy Family Convent.
Funeral Services will be hed at 1030 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2001, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O. Praem with burial in Holy Family
Convent Cemetery.
The former Kathryn Krupp was born May 3, 1905, in St. Anna, Wis.,
daughter of the late Jacob and Malia Christel Krupp. She entered the
convent in 1921 and professed her vows in 1924. Sister Alice earned a
Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc and a Master
of Arts Degree from Marquette University, Milwaukee. Sister Alice served
as a teacher and/or principal at St. Mary, Reedsville, St. Mary,
Brillion, Holy Rosary, Kewaunee, St. Joseph, Sturgeon Bay, St. John,
Antigo, St. Mary, Greenleaf, St. Rose, Clintonville, St. Boniface & St.
Joseph, Manitowoc, St. John the Baptist, Plymouth, St. Mary, Kaukauna,
St. Patrick, Maple Grove, SS Peter & Paul, Kiel, St. Ann, New Holstein,
Wis., Immaculate Conception, Yuma, Ariz., and St. Nicholas, Zanesville,
Ohio. After her retirement from the teaching profession, she served as a
Parish Visitor at St. Pius X, Appleton. She retired to St. Francis
Convent, Manitowoc in 1988 and has been a resident of St. Rita Health
Center at the Motherhouse since 1997.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; two
sisters and a brother-in-law, Ernestine and Ray Wagner, Chilton,
Veronica Heus, New Holstein; nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, March 23, 2001
from 4-8 p.m. at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A Prayer Service will
be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
