Eva Redmon Griffin, 85, of 2321 Georgia Highway 98, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. A native of Banks County, Mrs. Griffin was a daughter of the late Joe and Mandy Baker Redmon and was the widow of Barnell Griffin. She was a retired quilter for Blue Bell Manufacturing and was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Griffin, and a son, Barney Griffin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Grove Level Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Appling, David Bailey and Gerald Mitton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Wilma Abney, Kennesaw, Martha Cotton, Homer, and Joyce Griffin, Maysville; three sons, Billy Griffin, Jefferson, Bobby Griffin, Athens, and Jerry Griffin, Maysville; a sister, Pauline Nunn, Commerce; 19 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce.
