Bonnie M. Turner, 86, of Terre Haute, died Friday, October 12, 2012 in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the bookkeeper and co-owner of Turner Excavating. She was born March 22, 1926 in Shelbyville, IN to Byron Hill, Sr. and Lena Mae Guess Hill.
Survivors include her best friend and companion, Donald Armstrong of Terre Haute; a brother, Jack Hill and his wife Juanita of Vincennes; a sister-in-law, Sarah Hill; a nephew, Stephen Hill and his wife Joyce of Greencastle; a niece, Cathryn Hill; and a great niece, Kelly Schwenk and her husband Justin of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Turner; and two brothers, Byron Hill, Jr. and Preston Hill.
Bonnie was a 1944 graduate of Indiana State Laboratory School. Memberships include Moose Lodge #1009 and the Eagle's Aerie 291. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard and gardening, she will be remembered for her ability to grow roses.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Chaplain Michael Julian officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, October 15, 2012 in the funeral home.
