"The funeral of the late ROBERT STEWART took place Sunday evening from the residence of his son, Mr. R. H. Stewart, on Pearl street. The Rev. Dr. Stratton officiated at the family residence, reading the solemn services of the Presbyterian Church; and a large concourse of relatives, friends and the accepted, brethren attended the remains to the City Cemetery, where the impressive burial ceremonies of the Masonic Fraternity were performed; and the honored dead was laid away from the sight of the sorrowful living."
