Sister Loretta Ann Koch, 82, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of
Christian Charity, died Thursday morning, May 23, 1991, at Holy Family
Convent, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Holy Family
Convent Chapel. Rev. Robert B. Reppen, O.Praem. will officiate at the
Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in the convent cemetery.
Born Sarah Koch, July 28, 1908, in Cross Plains, Wis., daughter of the
late Philip and Mary Riphan Koch. She entered the convent in 1934 and
professed her vows in 1937. Sister Loretta Ann had earned a B.S. Degree
in Nursing from Marquette University, Milwaukee. Sister had served the
community as a Nurse at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, and at Good
Samaritan Hospital at Zanesville, Ohio. After retiring from active
ministry, she served as Switchboard Operator at the Convent.
Survivors include the Franciscan Sister of Christian Charity; three
sisters, Mary Zychowski and Clara Farr of Madison, Wis., and Molly
Dresen of Dane, Wis.; other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, at Holy Family
Convent, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. The Pfeffer
Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting with funeral arrangements.
