Conway -- Votsy Evelyn Chestnut Wade, 88, died Monday, Feb 16, 1998, at Conway Hospital after an illness.
She was born in Conway, a daughter of the late Bailey M. and Layfette Chestnut. She was the widow of Grier C Wade.
Mrs. Wade was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Scottie Causey, Mackie Lewis, and Cecil Stalvey, all of Conway; two grandsons, Wofford Boyd II of Georgetown and Grier Boyd of Kitty Hawk, NC; and three great-grandchidren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Twin City Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Red Bluff Road, Loris, 29569.
