CONWAY -- Mackie Ethel Lewis, 84, of S.C. 905, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at Loris Community Hospital after an illness.

She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Bailey and Charlotte Chestnut.

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was employed at Edge Manufacturing in Andrews for 10 years.

Survivors include her husband, John Lewis; a son, J.E. ``Bud'' Lewis of Conway; three daughters, Earlene Baxley of Denton, Texas, Shirley Lewis of Nichols and Vernell Johnson of Conway; two sisters, Scottie Causey and Cecil Stalvey, both of Conway; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum.
