RECENT DEATHS.
Albee
In the early light of Monday morning
Henry R. Albee came to the end
of his long illness. He was a native
of Morgan, born in 1852; was twice
married, first in 1876 to Miss Ellen
Ruiter of his native town, again in
1889 to Mrs. Emma B- Randall of
this place. His daughter. Miss Helen
R. Albee, has for some years, held a
responsible position in the public
schools of Chelsea, Mass. Three
brothers survive him, two living in
Weehawken, N. J., one in Derby, also
two sisters, Mrs. Theron Adams of
Derby and Mr$. Surviah Farr of
West Charleston.
Mr. Albee had been for 30 years a
citizen of our town. About half this
time he was in the Fairbanks Scale
works, where he had the final setting
up and testing of some of the
largest weighing machines. For nearly
15 years he was a partner of the
firm of Farnham and Albee in the
hardware, plumbing and steam
fitting business. He was a mason of
the 32nd degree, a member of the
order of Odd Fellows and of the
New England Order of Protection
In every position and relation of
life, Mr. Albee was painstaking,
trust-worthy and friendly. He was
skilled as an artisan: intelligent In
affairs; always sought to give a hand
of help anywhere. For 2o years
he was a member of the South
church, serving successfully as
chairman of the business committee,
and, more recently, with conspicuous
courtesy and carefulness, as janitor
His kind and cordial nature and his
cheerful readiness to be always helping
things along, won him the affectionate
interest and gratitude of many friends.
At the very time when his appearance
seemed to indicate, the full flush of health
and robust manhood, some unsuspected
malady was fastening itself upon
him. The strong man bowed him
self and life went out seemingly before
its time.
Service will be held at the home
on Pearl street at half past one to
day, also at the cemetery with the
Masonic ritual.
