Donna Marian Moore Chandler, of the Isle of Palms, S.C., aged 55, passed away peacefully at home while visiting her family farm near Lake City, S.C., last Friday morning. She was born in Lake City on December 17th, 1956 to the late James Warren Moore, former Sheriff of Williamsburg County, S.C., and Doris Rachel Langley Moore, of Kingstree and Lake City, presently residing in North Carolina.

Mrs. Chandler will be remembered as a sweet, kind, and optimistic person, with a beautiful smile, who had a tremendous love for her family. The central and most important part of her life was the generous love and caring she felt for her family and friends. Her dedication to them was from the heart. She found pleasure in celebrating birthdays and holidays, and having cook-outs and oyster-roasts in the tranquility of the farm, where she felt most rested, peaceful, and carefree. She also loved hiking and walking on the beach, and visits to the mountains.

Mrs. Chandler was loved dearly by her husband, children, family and friends, who will miss her deeply.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Chandler is also survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Daniel L. Chandler of the Isle of Palms, son Laughton, daughter Cori, and pets Pheodora and Bandit of the home, brother James C. Moore and family of Lexington, N.C., sister Robyn Moore Cooper (Robert) and family of Andrews, S.C., uncle Ronald Langley (Annette), aunt Thelma Moore Wilson, and father-in-law Keith Chandler (Florrie), all of Lake City, brother-in-law Alan Chandler (Darlene) of Kingstree, sister-in-law Linda Chandler McDandel of Myrtle Beach, and numerous beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

The family of Mrs. Chandler will have calling hours from six until eight o'clock p.m., Sunday, October 14th, 2012 in the funeral home.

Memorial services for Mrs. Chandler will be held at five o'clock p.m., Monday, October 15th, 2012, in Pergamos United Methodist Church, located at 653 New Zion Road outside of Lake City. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Chandler's memory to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406, or to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Virginia 23060-9979.
