Doris Rachel Langley Moore KINGSTREE, SC - Doris Rachel Langley Moore, 83, of Kingstree, SC passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 9, 2013 in Lexington, NC. Mrs. Moore was born in Florence County, SC on November 25, 1929 the daughter of the late James Marion and Beulah Hancock Langley. She was a widow of the late James Warren Moore, former sheriff of Williamsburg County, to whom she was married for thirty-three years. She was a member of Pergamos United Methodist Church. She was avid in her yard work, growing flowers and deeply religious. Mrs. Moore is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Warren Moore; daughter, Donna M. Chandler and a sister, Shirley Street. Survivors include: son, Jim C. Moore of Lexington, NC; daughter, Robyn (Robert) Cooper of Andrews, SC; brother, Ronald (Annette) Langley of Lake City, SC; son-in-law, Danny Chandler of Isle of Palms, SC; grandchildren, Laughton Chandler and Cori Chandler both of Isle of Palms, SC, David (Michele) Johnson and Eric (Kristina) Johnson both of Lane, SC, Brent (Ashlee) Moore and Chris Moore both of Lexington, NC and Katie Moore of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren, Frederick Moore, Byrd Moore, Kilee Moore, Skylar Tate, Emmett Johnson and Marshall Johnson. The family will receive friends on Friday July 12, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Brockington Funeral Home of Lake City, SC. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday July 13, 2013 at Moore Cemetery in Lake City, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Moore's memory to Pergamos United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs. Stacy Moore, 653 New Zion Road, Lake City, South Carolina 29560.
