Liebenthal -- Bernard Herrman, 70, died Sunday at St. Anthony Hospital after a long illness. Born Nov. 2, 1902, he was a retired farmer and a lifetime Liebenthal resident.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Elvira Rupp, Newton; Mrs. Fermina Herrman, of the home; Mrs. Alfreida Dinges, Schoenchen; Mrs. Mary Ann Randa, Liebenthal; two sons, Wilbert, Liebenthal; Richard, La Crosse; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Brown, Independence; Mrs. Rosa Weber, Park; Odilia Herrman, Spearville; two brothers, Isidor, Liebenthal; Aloyius, Bonner Springs, Mo.; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Liebenthal. Burial will be in the Liebenthal Cemetery. Rosary will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Janausek Funeral Home, LaCrosse. Friends may call at the funeral home until 9 p.m. Monday and 1 - 9 p.m. Tuesday.
