Died 22 October 1883. Last known address 58 Walker Street, Ancoats. 46 years old. Wife of Christopher Coates a Watchman. Died of Stomach Disease. I assume it was stomach cancer. Present at the time of death was her sister Amelia Bennett of 82 Henry Street.....
BURIAL: I believe she is buried in Cheetham Hill Wesleyan Methodist Cemetery because, She was close to her sister Amelia. Amelia buried her husband there 2 years prior to Ruth's death. Amelia was buried there. There were no records kept of the burials after they were transferred to a mass grave in Bury.
