Charity, died Monday night, March 18, 1991, at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Convent
Chapel. Rev. Robert B. Reppen, O.Praem. will officiate at the Mass of
Christian Burial and burial will be in the Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Born October 3, 1905, in Hilbert, Wis., daughter of the late Paul and
Theresa Urlings Kerch. She entered the Convent in 1921 and professed her
vows in 1924. Sister Mary earned a B.A. Degree from the Holy Family
College, Manitowoc and a M.A. Degree from Marquette University,
Milwaukee. Sister served the community as a teacher in Zanesville, Ohio;
Wellsburg W. Va.; Ironwood, Mich.; Middleton, Cato, Antigo, Kaukauna,
Oneida, Oshkosh, Brillion. St. Boniface and Holy Family Academy,
Manitowoc, Wis.
Survivors include The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; three
sisters, Sister Leo Kerch OSF, Sister Angelo Kerch OSF, Sister Ernestine
Kerch OSF, all of Manitowoc, Wis.; five brothers and two sisters-in-law,
Leo Kerch, John and Lucille Kerch, all of Fond du Lac; Nick and Jane
Kerch of Westfield, Wis. George Kerch of Oconomowoc, Wis., Edward Kerch
of West Allis, Wis.
Friends may call at Holy Family Convent, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel.
