Mrs. Barbara Bell Cargal, 73, of Florida St., went to eternal rest in her Father's loving arms January 14, 2002, at her residence after an extended illness.

Barbara was born June 26, 1928, in Greensboro, a daughter of Boyd and Beulah Scott Bell. She was employed at Burlington Industries for 26 years and later was employed at Dr. Harrell and Dr. Errico's office. She was a member for First Reformed United Church of Christ. On June 29, 1951, she married Guilford Cargal, who survives of the home. Her family and friends will cherish her memories.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Pamela Hendley and her husband, Bob, of Marietta, Ga., two sons, Steve Cargal and wife, Paige, and Alan Cargal, both of High Point; five grandchildren, Chip and David Hendley and Austin, Dylan and Chase Cargal; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Thompson of Greensboro, Mrs. Phyllis Goforth of Greenville, SC and Mrs. Mary Kathryn Farmer of Greensboro; two brothers, David Bell of Greensboro and Jimmy Bell of Greenville, SC and a special friend and caregiver, Rena Bowers.

Funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at First Reformed United Church of Christ by Pastor Donald L. Stevenson. Entombment will be in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
