Mrs. GERTRUDE R. CLIPP, wife of Jesse B. Clipp, Boonsboro, died at the Washington County Hospital Saturday at 11:20 a.m. after an illness of ten days, aged 70 years. The daughter of the late Silas and Mary (Domer) Drenner, she was born at Sharpsburg, and was a member of the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren.

Surviving besides husband are daughters, Mrs. Martin Butts, Hagerstown; Mrs. Raymond Lake, Hagerstown; Mrs. Vincent Rayski, Boonsboro; Mrs. Herbert Canfield, Sharpsburg; Mrs. Robert Wright, Boonsboro; sons, Silas W., Sharpsburg; Jesse R., Sharpsburg; Richard E., Frederick; Willis L., Fairplay; Bruce M. , Keedysville; sisters, Mrs. John Hammond, Sharpsburg; Mrs. Charles Renner, Sharpsburg; Mrs. Walter Winks, Sharpsburg; brothers, Luther Drenner, Hagerstown; Sheridan Drenner, San Mar; 29 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted at the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren; with interment in the Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg; arrangements were by the Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro.
