PITTSFIELD — Victoria B. Conte, 87, formerly of 71 Newton Ave., died Monday at her daughter's home in San Jacinto, Calif.
Mrs. Conte, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Bannick Stockley, was born in Waterbury, Conn., on Feb. 25, 1920. She attended Pittsfield schools, and was a resident of Pittsfield most of her life.
She was employed as a frame spinner at the former Berkshire Woolen Co.
She was a member of the Pittsfield Senior Center, the Jewish Community Center, a communicant of St. Charles Church, a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a former member of the Legion of Mary.
Her husband, Joseph A. Conte, died Apr. 14, 1984.
She leaves a daughter, Gail P. Hall, of San Jacinto, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Judith Frazier died Apr. 21, 2006. She also leaves an adopted granddaughter, Victoria May.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Church care of the Dwyer Funeral Home in her memory. She was a loving grandmother to Michelle, Kelly, William, Anthony, Victoria, and Nickolas and beloved great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren.
