Services Held For Mrs. Josephine Rolenc, 82

Mrs. Josephine Rolenc, 82, died May 1, at the home of her son, Edward Rolenc, Sr., at Ulysses, after an illness of eleven days.

Funeral services were conducted May 5 at Immaculate Conception Church, Ulysses. Msgr. George Schuster officiated at the Requiem High Mass. Music was by Jack Webb.

Relatives and friends attending the service were from Schuyler, Osceola, Elyria, Ord, Shelby, David City, Bruno, Brainard, Scribner, Comstock, Rogers, Bee and Seward and Phoenix, Ariz.

Serving as pallbearers were Vernon Potrzeba, Ronald Rolenc, Robert Rolenc, Edward Rolenc, Jr., Charles Gabel and Ronald Hruska.

Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery at Bruno.

Josephine Marie, daughter of Bartholomew and Marie Pribyl Codr, was born Aug. 26, 1879, at Linwood.

On Jan. 20, 1900, she was married at Abie to John Rolenc. Seven children were born to this union.

After her marriage, Mrs. Rolenc lived in Brainard and on her farm between Shelby and Gresham. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, John Rolenc of Phoenix, Ariz., and Edward and Clement Rolenc, both of Ulysses; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons; two daughters, and her parents.
