Robert Meriweather, 62, passed away June 23, 1999, at Akron General Medical Center, after a short illness.
He was a lifetime resident of Akron. He is survived by sister, Mildred Skipper; brother, Randy Cross; special cousin raised as a brother, Anthony Skipper; special niece, Marsha Andrus; special cousins, attorney Lavonne Meriweather; uncle, Reynolds Meriweather; stepfather, Percy (Chris) Cross; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 12 to 1 p.m. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 853 Mercer.(Stewart & Calhoun)
