Eleanor Veronica (Conner) Burns 85, of Holyoke, died Sunday at home. She worked at the registrar’s office at Holyoke Community College for many years and later worked for the Moriarty and Wilson Law firm. Born here, she was a life long resident. She was a 1934 graduate of Sacred Heart High School and a graduate of Dale Carnegie Institute. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a longtime member of its women’s club, and a former member and treasurer of the Junior Associates of Holyoke. Her husband, William H Burns died in 1993. She leaves four sons, William H, Jr of Chicopee, Daniel C of Holyoke, Timothy P of Belchertown and Brian M of Holyoke; five daughters, Barbara Beaudoin of North Easton, Eileen M Wilson of Hatfield, Patricia A Tisdell of Holyoke, Ellie Burns of Winston-Salem, NC, and Kerry Day of Holyoke; 29 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday morning at Barry J Farrell Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday afternoon and evening.
