Treece, Kan., Sept. 14.—
The body of Glenn D. Mattix, 21 years old, who died at his home in Treece, Kan., after a two weeks illness, was buried in Carl Junction. Death was due to abscess. The Mattix family formerly lived in Carl Junction and Joplin and was well known throughout the district.
Surviving relatives are: His parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Mattix; four sisters, Mrs. W. A. Kirby and Mrs. E. I. Gast of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. H. V. Manlove of Ozark, Mo., and Miss Catherine Mattix of Treece; one brother, Harold Mattix of Treece.

Per his Missouri death certificate, Glen died of Septic Meningitis following Mastoid Abscess. Even though his obituary notes his death was in Treece, it was in Carthage.
