DOVER-FOXCROFT - Charles Daniel Warren, 63, son of Charles Sair Warren Jr. and Rita Bonsey, and raised from the age of 12 by Clyde and Ruth Nason as their own son, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, after a long illness.

Danny went in the Air Force when he was 18 and served in many overseas locations near the end of the Vietnam War. Danny was an airplane mechanic in the service and loved to fix and fly on planes. He served in Japan, the Philippines, in Guam, and later in Hawaii and the continental United States. After leaving the service, he opened Dan's Sunoco Station, Southington, Conn., and used his talents to fix many cars. Danny ran the station until he was injured in a tragic car accident in 1979. Danny was in a coma for six months and later moved to Maine with his Uncle Clyde and Aunt Ruth Nason who helped him learn to walk again. Danny lived in Sebec, Dover and Milo, and most recently was living at Hilltop Manor, Dover-Foxcroft.

Danny is survived by two sons, Charles Drew Warren and his children, Dylan, Danielle and Jordan Warren, and Christopher Dean Warren and his wife, Jennifer (Kanute) Warren, and their children, Cody and Brooke Warren. He is also survived by his mother, Ruth Nason; and sisters, Carol Cress, Elaine Weltzin, Ruth Varnum, Joyce Mazerolle and Shirley Wright; and one brother, David Bridges. He was predeceased by his father and mother; and his father of the heart, Clyde Nason; his brother, Gary Bridges; and his sister, Sandy Bridges.
Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Milo. (Bangor Daily News 10/8/2012)
