Cain - The funeral of Armstead Cain, aged 68 years, who died Saturday at his home, 413 Pittsburg street, will be held Tuesday morning from the Union Park Baptist church. Interment will be at Greenwood.

Rev. Armstead Cain Buried Today - As Missionary, Baptized Hundreds

The Rev. Armstead Cain was buried this morning from the Union Park Baptist Church. The services were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. W. S. Lake, and the Rev. James W. Kramer of the First Baptist church.

Mr. Cain was born in Illinois in 1844 and move to Spokane about two years ago. His ministrial labors extended over large sections of Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. As a Sunday school missionary, evangelist and pastor he organized many churches and baptized hundreds.

He is survived by his widow and 11 children.

They came to Spokane from Salt River Township, Schuyler County, Missouri about 1911. Armstead was a Baptist pastor in Missouri and died from cancer after arriving in Spokane. He left behind his wife and two children. His wife, Mary E. Cain asked for and recieved a mother's pension of $20 a month in Spokane, as reported by the Spokesman-Review on December 22, 1915.
