He regained consciousness at the Hospital and a few minutes later
relapsed again into unconsciousness. Physicians were able to glean from his
disconnected story of the accident that he was crossing Jefferson street from
east to west side. Detectives of the Genesee street station were unable to locate anyone
who saw the accident and did not find out who called the ambulance.
Decker died at 8:30 o’clock from internal injuries. Deputy Deputy Medical Examiner
Cook gave a verdict of death by accident And turned the body over to the family.
He was a meat dealer and lived at No. 292 High Street. He is survived by a wife and family.
Headquarter detectives and precinct Specials are making a searching investigation
in an effort to obtain a clue and to the Driver of the auto.
