NEW ALBANY - Gladys Lorene Curtis Cobb, 90, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Pontotoc County to the late Walter Thomas Curtis and Betty Dillard Curtis. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ingomar Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in the Ingomar Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Carolyn Cobb Brewer and husband, Charlie, of Brandon; one daughter-in-law, Marzelle Cobb of South Carolina; two sons, Thomas Randy Cobb and wife, Donna Doom Cobb, of New Albany, and Rodger Clifton Cobb and wife, Kay Collier Cobb, of Jefferson City, Mo.; a special friend, Aaron Haberfield of Booneville; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Thomas Curtis and Betty Dillard Curtis; her husband, Troy D. Cobb; a son, Herbert Dean Cobb; and a grandchild, Denise Cobb Sachon.
Pallbearers will be Clifton Cobb, Andy Cobb, Brad Cobb, Benjamin Brewer, Dustin Cobb and Brandon Cobb.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today.
