Etta was a retired vaudeville and legit actress and wife of Sam A. Scribner, treasurer of the Actors' Fund and former head of the old Columbia Burlesque wheel. Etta made her stage debut in "The Devil's Auction" and later appeared in George Lederer's "The Belle of New York." She also toured in vaudeville as one of the Cooper Sisters.
