He was born in Wooster, May 1, 1915 to Harry W. and Plissie Stroup McAnaney, Sr.
He lived in Wooster until 10 years ago when he moved to Florida.
He was a self-employed painting contractor.

Surviving are his wife Madeline Gooden McAnaney; children: Michael W. McAnaney; David W; Mrs. David W. (Lois) Ferdinand; his father; five grandchildren and five sisters; Mrs. Ray (Elaine) Stoddard; Mrs. Raymond (Lillian) Rayland; Mrs. Elizabeth Brinkerhoff, Mrs. Ward (Virginia) Shultz.
His mother, (March 15, 1964), daughter, Kathleen and an infant brother died previously.
