GLADYS DENYER, IRENE 1912 - 2006 Peacefully, in her 94th year, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, Gladys died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, after a fascinating and successful life. To the end, she remained feisty and independent. Beloved wife of the late Roy J. Denyer, who predeceased her January 13, 1982. Dear mother of Dorothy and her husband Kenneth Fisher of Guelph. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Leslie (her husband Conor Brogan) and Gwen Fisher of Montreal. She was the dear sister of Clara Erb of New Hamburg. She was predeceased by her parents, Sarah (Bender) and John Yutzi; brothers Anson, Erlis and Elmer Yutzi. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Waterloo. Throughout her life, she cared deeply about those less fortunate and her actions quietly demonstrated this character trait. Friends are invited to share their memories of Gladys with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The service to celebrate her life and faith will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Val Henning officiating. Following the service in the chapel, family and friends are invited to the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments and a time to visit with the family. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. The family is extremely grateful to the nursing staff of the fifth floor, St. Mary's Hospital. Their caring attitude and thorough professionalism is a role model for the practice of medicine. In memory of Gladys, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the funeral home.
