Ivan"Bud"Abby,79,of Viroqua,formerly of Readstown,passed away on Thursday,Dec.13,2012,at Vernon Manor in Viroqua.
He was born on Dec.30,1932,in Vernon County to Harrison and Marie (Forde)Abby. He farmed for many years with his parents until 1972,when they moved to Readstown. He mowed lawns in Readstown,did gardening and worked at the grocery store. He loved to play cards and bingo. He also loved western music and the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by nieces,nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents;three brothers,Harold,Ray and Ross Abby;and one sister,Irene Offerdahl.
Funeral services were held on Monday,Dec.17,2012,at Sime Funeral Home in Readstown. Pastor Lance Lorenz officiated and burial was in the Brookville Cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home on Monday until time of services.
