After looking at a 1931 plat book and finding my great grandfather John Pennel owned land near De Soto Wisconsin, that got me hooked on researching my family line.I finished my research and needed to do more,I love walking through cemeteries,so I decided to take pictures for other families. It's like finding treasure when I find a grave marker. The old cemeteries are the ones that I don't want forgotten. Some are in bad shape, and I try hard to get the name off the old stones. Sometimes I have to dig the grass that has grown over the old marker, when there is just a small piece showing. It's so rewarding when I find a name. When I read some of the letters it's like a puzzle to figure who it is. I love the challenge. On find a grave I meet relatives that I never knew and we work together researching our families. Find A Grave is a wonderful place.
The families I have been working on for my husband, are: Berryman, Schwingle, Blabaum, Bartle, Paulson, Engen Hustad. My family Pennel, Hastings, Bates, Strong, Morris, Britting, Horn
