She attended local schools. From a very early age, Lucy worked in the fields along with her family and became her father's right hand. She married Paz Renteria Jr. and had 6 children. She later married Benjamin Flores and had 3 children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband's son, Gilbert Renteria; her siblings: Juan, Bernardino, Victoria Francesca Beltran, Guadalupe Perez; and 2 great grandsons, Angel and Adam Zapata. She is survived by her children; Rudy (Lea)Renteria of Oceano, Andy (Stella) Renteria of Hanford, Maria (+Jose) Gonzalez of Wasco, Clara Belle (+Peter) Acosta of Wasco, Jennie (Victor) Zapata of Earlimart, Christina Flores of Wasco, Christopher (Vickey) Flores of Bakersfield and Rosario Flores of Wasco, 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her 3 siblings: Carmen Nadal, Lolly Lerichi and Frank Beltran and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Westside Family Fellowship on Thursday, October 4th at 6:00 p.m. There will be a rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10: a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Wasco on Friday, October 5th.
