Eva Gibson, 92, of Noble, died at 6:36 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006 at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were Sunday at North Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Thomas and Glen Fehrenbacher officiating. Burial was in North Freedom Cemetery.
Mrs. Gibson was born on May 13, 1913 in Noble, the daughter of Levi and Zadie (McDowell) Fulk. She married John B. Gibson on September 18, 1929 in Vincennes, Ind. He preceded her in death on January 14, 983.
She was a member of North Freedom Baptist Church in northern Richland County. She was a doll collector and had as many a 2,000 dolls at one time. She loved to make and repair dolls of all kinds. She was a loving wife, Homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by four sons, John B. Gibson of Comer, Ga., K. D. Gibson and his wife, Kathy of Noble, Jim Gibson of Olney and Dave Gibson and his wife, Elaine of Noble; daughter, Ruth Travous and her husband, Bob of Olney; two brothers, Dale Fulk and his wife, Charlene of Noble and Carl Fulk and his wife, Erma of Noble; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, John; three sons, Joe, Bert and Frank; three brothers, Vern, Omer and Perry; four sisters, Inez, Ina, Viola and Goldie Ann; one granddaughter, Nancy; and one daughter-in-law, Eloise.
Memorials may be made to North Freedom Church.
