He was born Nov. 24, 1917, in Anderson and resided in Anderson all of his life.
Paul retired as a tool room machinist from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after more than 44 years.
He was a 50-plus-year member of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge 77 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Temple Shrine and the Madison County Shrine Club. He had a kind and gentle soul who never spoke an unkind word.
Paul is survived by his wife, June (Reese) Boots Allen; sisters, Leona Biddle and Roena Elliott; stepsons, Terry Boots and Jim Boots; sister-in-law, Helen Allen of Norman, Okla.; grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Boots of Pendleton, Carri O'Donnell of Noblesville, Katie Boots of Washington, D.C., and Meghan Boots of Sacramento, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; and several and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Noland) Allen, on March 24, 1995.
Visitation will be from 2 to 2:30 p.m. with fellowship time at the Community Room immediately following service on Thursday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday beginning with a Masonic service at the funeral home with Bishop Rev. Smalley officiating the funeral.
Cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society or Trinity Episcopal Church.
