Mrs. Laura P. Worden
COLRAIN - Mrs. Laura P. Worden, 89, a resident of Colrain for 30 years, died early yesterday morning after an illness of two years at the Reed Nursing Home in Shelburne Falls.

She was born in Marlboro, Vt., March 15, 1862, a daughter of Elihu and Mary (Lynde) Pratt. She was a member of the Colrain Congregational Church. Her husband, Charles Worden, died several years ago. She had been in the nursing home the past year and a half.

She leaves three sons, Carl and Archie of Colrain, and Robert of Wilmington, Vt.; three daughters, Mrs. Clara Lynde of Guilford, Vt., and Mrs. Ada Sprague and Mrs. Alice Cross of Wilmington; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the Johnson Funeral Home, Shelburne Falls. Rev. George K. Carter, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Greenfield will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Halifax, Vt., in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9. (Published in the Greenfield Recorder Gazette Dec 31, 1951)

Colrain Woman, Native of Marlboro, Dies in Shelburne Falls.

SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. - Mrs. Laura (Pratt Worden, 89, of Colrain, native of Marlboro, Vt. died Sunday at a nursing home here. She had been ill two years.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Johnson Funeral home here. Rev. George K. Carter of Greenfield will officiate and burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Halifax, Vt., next spring. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.
