Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Cathedral for Mrs. Eunice O. Meller, 81, of Rt. 5, who died Tuesday at Charles E. Still Hospital.
Mrs. Meller had been ill for about six years and hospitalized for the past three weeks.
She was born Feb. 8, 1878, in the Elston community, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Serephin Kauffman. On April 21, 1903, she was married to Jacob Meller, who died Sept. 5.
Survivors include two sons, Victor J. Meller of Bloomington, Ill, and Alfred J. Meller, 112 Binder Dr., three daughters, Mrs. Angeline Bonnot, Highway 50 West, Mrs. Carl Trippensee, St. Martin's, and Mrs. Carl Nivens, Highway 50 West; one brother, Charles Kauffman, Jefferson City; 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Meller was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral, the Married Ladies Sodality and Glennon Circle No. 322, Daughters of Isabella.
The rosary will be recited at a local funeral home at 3 p.m., Wednesday. Officiating at the funeral services will be the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph A. Vogelweid. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
