Daily Capital News (Jefferson City MO) – Page 8 – September 6, 1958:

Jacob W. Meller, 84, Rt. 5, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Hospital. He had suffered a stroke last Wednesday.

Mr. Meller was a retired farmer and businessman.

Born in Lohman on Feb. 5, 1874, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Meller. He was married at St. Martins April 21, 1903, to Miss Eunice Kauffman, who survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Victor Meller of Bloomington, Ill. and Alfred Meller of Jefferson City; three daughters, Mrs. Angeline Bonnot, Mrs. Carl Trippensee and Mrs. Carl Nevins, all of Jefferson City; two brothers, William of Jefferson City and Fred of Lohman; one sister, Mrs. Mary Renn of Visalia, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's Cathedral.

Rosary will be recited at a local funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Cathedral, with Rev. Norman Ahrens officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
