Pauline Wright, 93 of Dresden died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at her residence.

Born December 24, 1918 in Round County, Kentucky; a daughter of the late Henry and Maude (Padgett) Ellington. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Zanesville First Church of God. She was a resident of the area for 62 years.

She was a volunteer at the Muskingum County Home for over 40 years. She was actively involved in the church ministries at Black Run Church of God and First Church of God in Zanesville during her husband's ministerial service. She was a devoted mother. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and quilting.

Survivors include five children, Joy Ann (Dick) Moe of Grayson, GA, Marla Jean (Norman) Mitchell of Murrells Inlet, SC, William E. (Myong) Wright of Houston, TX, Mike (Karen) Wright of Dresden, Brad (Cindy) Wright of Bellevue, OH; sister, Irene Campbell of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Rev. Harold E. Wright, whom she married on July 31, 1937 and who died on October 24, 1978; nine sisters and four brothers.

Calling hours will be from 6-9pm Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the DRESDEN CHAPEL of VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 714 Main Street, Dresden.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, October 5, 2012 at the funeral home with the Pastor Gary W. Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.

The family requests memorial contributions to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701-9836 or the Zanesville First Church of God 1930 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
