Mrs. Otto Miller, 52, died in her home at 319 West Main street at 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, 1936, after an illness that had made her bedfast ten months. In recent weeks she had been unable to move or speak. She was born Mary Matilda Erdman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Erdman, on June 27, 1884, in Edford township. She was reared and educated in Edford and was married to Otto Miller in Geneseo, March 18, 1906. The couple farmed in Edford after their marriage and moved to Geneseo nearly twenty years ago. Mrs. Miller was a member of the First Congregational church. Those who survive are the widower, two sons, Wesley and Donald, both at home, five brothers, Theodore, Otto, John and Arthur Erdman of Geneseo, Emil Erdman of Moline, and two sisters, Mrs. Theresa Meeske of Wyoming, Ill., and Mrs. Ella Krueger of Geneseo. A daughter, Irene, died in infancy and Mrs. Miller's mother died Feb. 13, 1936. Her father and a brother, Henry, also preceded her in death. Musical selections were rendered by a mixed quartette composed of Mrs. Jeffrey D. Hoy, Mr. and Mrs. H. Ward Rivenburg and Charles Lieberknecht. Funeral services were held at 3:00 Wednesday afternoon in the Congregational church, with the Rev. J. D. Hoy, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Edford cemetery.
