DRAPER - Thomas A. Gannaway, of Draper, a retired farmer, died Sunday, Aug. 11,1996 at the Veterans Medical Center in Salem.

Born Oct. 14, 1917, he was the son of the late John L. and Eva A. Gannaway.

He was preceded in death, by a son, Timothy L. Gannaway, and a sister, Mary Trigg Gilmer, He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church.

He was a past director of the Skyline Soil Conservation District and a past member of the Draper Ruritan Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mary P. Gannaway of Draper; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas P. and Judith C. Gannaway of Vinton, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia C. Gannaway and Daniel E. McKeever of Laconia, N.H.; two grandchildren, Thomas P. Gannaway II and Allison Gannaway, both of Vinton, Ohio; and two sisters, Catherine Gannaway and Ruth G. Bryson, both of Draper.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Preston 0. Sartelle Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home in Draper. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the charity of choice. Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements
