Edward W. Werner, 60, died today in Swedish-American hospital. He was born January 4, 1893 in Reynolds, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Werner. He lived in Rockford for 34 years. He married the former Nan Nye on September 16, 1917 in Rochester, Minnesota. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Broadway Methodist church and of the church Men's club. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, and five sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in the Broadway Methodist church, with burial in Scandinavian cemetery.
