Ocie Lee Scott, 77, died Sunday, February 5, 1989, at his home.

Mr. Scott was born on July 9, 1911, in Odell. His father was J.C. Scott and his mother was Louella Fulcher Scott. He came to Quail at an early age with his parents. He married Audie Nipper on September 10, 1934 in Wellington.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. He farmed in the Quail, Loco and Rolla communities. He moved to Wellington in 1952. He was a retired farmer and business man. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of Frank King Post of the American Legions, and a former member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Audie, of Wellington; two sons, Redgie Scott of Boulder, Montana, and the Rev. Randall Scott of Paris; two daughters, Tawana McCutchen of Weatherford and Kathy Aldridge of Richardson; a brother, R.P. Scott of Wellington; three sisters: Lottie Hall of Wellington, Vera Minter of Lefors, and Clovis Rainey of Wellington; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Scott, Jr., and by a sister, Irene Keesee.
