Irene Haney Jones, 75, of 107 Cutoff, Afton, died suddenly at her home Monday morning.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hermon United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: her two sisters and brother-in-law, Emeline and Ernest Jennings, of Church Hill, and Georgia Burger, of John M. Reed Nursing Home; one brother and sister-in-law: Don and Edith Haney, of Limestone; a special niece and her husband: Annalee and Kenneth Jennings, of Greeneville; a special great-nephew: Victor Jennings, of Greeneville; an uncle, and several other nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Hugh Jones; her parents, Carl and Bertha Haney; two sisters, Gertrude Hurt and Mary Burger; and one brother, Fred Haney.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday evening at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hermon United Methodist Church, where the body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

The Rev. A.C. Cobble and the Rev. Jeffrey Bryant will officiate. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Hermon United Methodist Church.
