Georgia Burger, 87, of the Clear Springs community, died Tuesday at John M. Reed Nursing Home in Limestone.

Mrs. Burger was a member of Clear Springs United Methodist Church.

She was the widow of Berthold B. Burger and a daughter of the late Carl and Bertha Haney.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Joanna and Danny Ripley of Galena, Ill.; a son and daughter-in-law: David and Belle Burger of Chattanooga; four grandchildren: Kevin Ripley, Ben Ripley, Jennifer Morris, and Kim Friederichsen; eight great-grandchildren: Devon Ripley, Morgan Ripley, Sophia Ripley, Joey Ripley, Daniel Morris, Nathan Morris, Andrew Morris, and Hunter Friederichsen; a sister and brother-in-law: Emeline and Earnest Jennings of Church Hill; a brother and sister-in-law: Don and Edith Haney of Limestone; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Fred Haney; and three sisters: Gertrude Hurt, Irene Jones, and Mary Burger.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Mortuary.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 7 o'clock in the mortuary chapel. The Rev. Jason Morris, Donny Friederichsen, and the Rev. Susan Anderson will officiate.

Private interment will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Billy Burger, Wayne Campbell, Edwin Haney, Jerry Aiken, Jeff Aiken, and Jack Aiken.
