ROSEDALE — Irene Edwards Crooks, 102, of Rosedale, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Meadows Manor North, in Terre Haute. She retired from A.F. Dormeyer Industries, in Rockville. She was born April 4, 1910, in Bridgeton, to the late Jesse C. Adams and Lillie Hartman Adams. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray S. Edwards on Jan. 1, 1982, and George Robert Crooks on April 27, 1991.
Survivors include one son, Billy J. (Pat) Edwards of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Sharon (Jerry) Norris, Cathy (Tim) Norris, Steve Edwards, Judi Barnes and Sandy (Doug) Hayward; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nephew and niece, Ted and Judy Adams of Rosedale; great-nieces, great-nephews; great-great nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Adams; and a sister, Mildred Byers.
She was a graduate of Rosedale High School and was a member of Bridgeton Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, in Rosedale Cemetery, with Pastor Perry Mager officiating. Burial will follow. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to the Friendly Grove Baptist Church, PO Box 204, Rosedale, IN 47874, in her memory.
