He served in the US Army Air Corps. during WWII where he was a fighter pilot with the Flying Tigers in China, was shot down two times and received the Purple Heart. He also was a former member of the Boone County Planning & Zoning Commission.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Benjamin, Sr. and Eleanor Katherine Stewart Angel.
