Lawrence (Larry) Jay Salisbury, 73, died at Utah Valley Hospital following a recent heart attack. He was born Jan. 11, 1886, in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Francis John and Sara Bates Salisbury. He married Lillian Calder Dec. 8, 1909, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He moved to Provo Bench (Orem) with his parents when he was five years old and made his home here since.
He was secretary of the Provo Bench Canal and Irrigation Company for 37 years.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Mrs Catherine Meldrum of Orem, Mrs Albert (Afton) Stubbs of Boulder City, Nev., Jay Salisbury of Boulder City, Francis Salisbury of Orem, Keith Salisbury of Murray; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs Willard (Vera) Bishop of Nyssa, Ore.
Burial will be in Orem City Cemetery.
