Drawn To Close - Was Life of Mrs. Jesse Dailey - Passed Into
Last Long Sleep Today. Ill three weeks- well-beloved young matron succumbs - daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Berry.

Although they hoped against hope for several days that life would prove the victor in an illness of three long and serious weeks, the friends of Mrs. Jesse Dailey, of Fifth Street, were nevertheless unprepared in fullness for the sad
news of her demise that spread rapidly this morning after she had passed into her last long sleep at nine-fifteen o'clock.

Destine June Beery Dailey, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Dan W. Beery, of this city, was born here June 23, 1884, and lived all of her comparatively short life in this community. Her thirty-five years of life were useful ones, spent devotedly for the husband and her two little children, Harry and Marietta, and for the church and the various social organization of uplift to the community. She
possessed an unusually sweet disposition, quiet yet cheerful, and it can scarcely be realized by her many friends that her life has run its course this early.

She has long been a member of the Methodist Church. She served for years as treasure of the Mite society, was active in the missionary society and in all departments of the church work. She was especially gifted in music and was a member for many years of the Euterpean club, and had become a charter member of the Woman's Club which succeeds it. She was also identified with the Research Club and others of social nature. She received her education in the
Decatur Schools , being a graduate of the high school and supplementing this with an excellent music course.

Besides the husband and the two children: her parents, a sister, Mrs. J. O. Sellemeyer, two brothers, Arthur and Lloyd Beery, comprise her very nearest relatives, though there were scores of other upon whom the pain of bereavement
falls heavily.
