Mrs. Elaine Franks, age 82 of Twin, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 in the U.A.B. Medical Center in Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. J.W. Franks and a sister Mrs. Ruby Lee Stoker. Mrs. Franks was a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in Twin, and was employed with Munsingwear for almost 40 Years. She is survived by her son, Danny (Judy) Franks, Grandson, Brad Franks, 3 great grandchildren, Ricklyn, Hailey, and Maddox Franks, all of Twin, sister Lola Gay (Marcus) O'mary of Jasper, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be help at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in The Mt. Olive Cemetery in Twin. Bro. Mike Beckon will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:a.m. until 11:00 a.m. (service time) on Saturday at the funeral home. Wade O'mary, Dennis Pinion, Charles Stephens, Haig Wilson, Harry Hardin, & Milton Rudy will serve as pallbeareers.
