Funeral services for Freda P. Luker, 71, of Butler will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Franklin McLelland and Rev. Truman Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Quitman, MS. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Ms. Luker passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at her residence in Butler. She was retired.
Survivors include her sons Robert F. Smith (Kay) of Butler, AL; Joel A. Smith (Carla) of Suquelena, MS; Chad H. Luker of Myrtlewood, AL; daughters Robin Gibson (Jessie) of Gilbertown, AL; Lisa Smith of Butler, AL; sisters Valerie Bozeman of Butler, AL; Ouida McNider of Sweetwater, AL; 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Bessie Hearn; husbands Robert Alton Smith, Jr. and Hugh L. Luker; and sister Nadine Strickland.
Pallbearers are Mike Lewis, Prentiss McNider, Charles Phillips, “Little” Hugh Luker, Grant Lolley, and Truman Todd.
