Funeral services for Miss Gertie Thibodeaux, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Miss Thibodeaux, a native of Acadia Parish and a resident of Opelousas, died at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, June 13, 1999, in Opelousas. She was a member of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas.

Survivors include: four brothers, Hubert Thibodeaux of Clearlake, Texas, Berchman Thibodeaux of Krotz Springs, Floyd Thibodeaux of Opelousas and Laurence Thibodeaux of Leonville.

Miss Thibodeaux was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Agnes Thibodeaux; three sisters, Clemence J. Hollier, Rita Daigle and Sister Odile Joseph; and five brothers, Gervis Thibodeaux, Easton Thibodeaux, Ferdie Thibodeaux, Huey Thibodeaux and Elvin Thibodeaux.

Visiting hours will be observed from 3 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas is in charge of arrangements.
